Illuminator provides diversification to investors by giving them exposure to a portfolio of stocks wrapped up in one listed investment vehicle.
Illuminator Investment Company Limited was incorporated on 22 December 2003 and listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia Limited, formerly known as the Stock Exchange of Newcastle Limited, on 18 June 2004 following an initial public offering (NSX: IIC).

Long-term investment focus – Illuminator is structured as a listed investment company. This structure enables the company to have a genuine medium to long-term investment horizon and confers two key benefits to investors:

1. The Manager can take a long-term perspective on investments, not having to worry that they may have to be sold to fund investor withdrawals.
 
2. There are taxation advantages in investing on a long-term basis for individual investors and superannuation funds that can reduce an investor’s overall level of taxation.

Managers’ incentives aligned with investors’ – the fee structure rewards superior performance of the manager.
